IESE BUSINESS SCHOOL, Barcelona, Spain
ANNUAL REPORTS
- 2008-2009: For the first time, the school decided to produce two separate reports—one in Spanish, one in English—instead of having the Spanish version translated into English. Under the direction of IESE's senior editor (who wrote the Spanish version), I wrote the English version.
- 2009-2010: For the second year in a row, IESE hired me to write the English version of their annual report. Once again I worked closely with the business school’s senior editor, who has already contacted me about writing the 2010-2011 report.
- 2010-2011: Once again I wrote the English version of IESE's annual report. The business school's senior editor and I work closely together on these reports. He provides a list of general topics, events, and activities to cover, as well as source material, usually as links to video- or text-based content in English on the IESE website. In some cases he sends me machine-translated text from Spanish, which often needs deciphering, so I draw on my romance language skills and sometimes consult the original text. The editor has already notified me that he would like me to work with him on the 2011-2012 report, likely beginning in summer 2012.
