GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
Shortly after the publications office asked me to write the biannual dean’s report, the dean announced he would step down after 15 years. This announcement triggered two events.
ALUMNI MAGAZINE COVER STORY
The publications and dean’s offices made a hasty redirect of the winter 2004 edition of Hermes, the alumni magazine, and asked me to write the cover feature on the dean. After face-to-face interviews with deans and other administrators to gather information and stories, I wrote this profile. This issue won a gold award in the internal publications category in the 2004 Admissions Marketing Report competition.
INSTITUTIONAL REPORT
The planned 16-page, two-year dean’s report became Impact, a 32-page, 15-year retrospective. I collaborated with the dean’s office, the publications staff and the design firm on the concept, structure and themes; suggested the title; developed the outline; conducted nearly two dozen interviews to gather information and quotes; and drafted the document. This report won a gold award in the annual report category in the 2004 Admissions Marketing Report competition.
