Prompted by the dean’s announcement that he would step down after 15 years, the publications and dean’s offices hastily re-worked its upcoming edition of Hermes, the alumni magazine, to spotlight his impact on the business school. They asked me to write the cover story. After face-to-face interviews with deans and other administrators to gather information and stories, I wrote this profile.
